Hi..
Thank you for visiting Happy Chicken Runs. My name is Henry Lecoq. Of course this is my writers alias, since I like to Identify myself with my birds
When I moved from busy city-life Holland to rural Austria I started raising chickens in our back yard. Don’t ask me why, I wouldn’t have wagered on it myself.

At first I knew absolutely nothing about chickens exept that they make a nice meal and that they have this funny walk. But I learned that these birds have personality and purpose. (They still make a good meal though )

Now I could tell you all how great it is having them birds around and how they enrich my life but I won’t bother you with that. It’s old and silly….

I created this blog to inform, teach and share my thoughts and experiences on poultry keeping with a dash of humor. And to be completely honest with you: To make some money while I’m at it.
Happy Chicken Runs will promote those products to help me sustain my hobby. These are only products that I think will do good to my chickens.

Aside from promoting I will give you valuable free tips and info on chickens and some funny anecdotes and jokes. Cause when I get in trouble with my wife, the only bird that could make me smile is a chicken….
