Saving with Chicken Coop Plans

Easy Chicken Coop Plans that saved me a small Fortune

After I tried to build my own shabby Chicken Coop and Run without any chicken coop plans, my wife was keen on buying a prefabricated hen house.  I remember it would have fit three hens for a measly € 750,- That’s more than $1000 !

And that’s without shipping, and without a proper run. Oh, and without a Chicken House foundation. That alone would have cost over $150. For that money I could have built at least two premium backyard chicken coops and runs using the plans for a Chicken Coop.

Free Chicken Coop Plans and Designs

I never realized raising chickens could be such an expensive hobby! It’s supposed to save me money and support a healthier lifestyle. So I kept my wallet in my pocket and went searching for some free chicken coop plans on the internet. Every time I thought I had found a great design, the  plans came incomplete or unreadable. And when it comes to free plans, you can’t be too picky about the design.

I was an amateur… What I needed was a great design and step by step instructions for building it. With costumer support.

  • [...] It’s easy to underestimate the task of keeping your own chickens. After all, they are not the usual pets and they tend to be able to take care of themselves. Well let’s talk chicken then shall we? Chickens are domesticated animals and are therefore dependent on humans to take care of them. True, free range chickens can take care of a lot themselves, but they too need shelter and protection from disease and from predators. And maybe even extra feeding. So a proper hen house is important. And for that you need the right chicken coops plans. [...]
